ITMTA ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL 2026-27

Your subscription towards and participation in the ITMTA, whatever your current status or level of involvement in the ITM community, supports the entire ITM project. The growth of the ITM Teachers Association is a vital part of our professional work and development.

 

We hope you will renew your membership and continue to be part of the ITMTA adventure. Membership renewal takes place in March and is now ended for the year 2026-27.

THE BENEFITS OF YOUR ITMTA MEMBERSHIP

All ITMTA members:​

  • have access to the ITMTA website. Members will be kept up to date with news and events through the website, which will also provide professional and general information as well as a discussion forum for certified teachers. 
     

  • receive the ITMTA newsletter, which is sent out at intervals throughout each year and is also available on the website. 
     

  • are eligible to take part in an ITMTA work team, for example, the Regulations, Communications, or Membership & Finance Teams. 
     

  • can attend the ITMTA Annual General Meeting, with certified teachers being able to cast a vote. 

 

All ITMTA members who are certified teachers:​

  • may attend TA-organised workshops and Chats on Tuesdays
     

  • can be accepted to teach on an ITM summer workshop and attend the Teachers Workshop that precedes it
     

  • can apply for grants towards the costs of representing the ITM at conferences, lectures, seminars etc.

Select the membership type you wish to renew and complete the online form. Membership fees are payable via BACS (details provided on the form).

  • For Certified ITM Alexander Technique teachers practising outside the UK

  • Suitable for teachers based worldwide

  • Insurance requirements vary by country - please ensure you comply with local regulations and arrange appropriate cover for worldwide practice

  • ​Professional Liability Insurance for Alexander Technique teaching is compulsory for UK members and for all teachers when teaching in the UK and at all ITM Summer and public workshops. 
     

Please note: a 10% late payment administration fee has been applied to the fee amount as of 27 March 2026.

  • For Certified ITM Alexander Technique teachers based in the UK and actively practising

  • Suitable if you plan to arrange your own Professional Liability Insurance

  • Professional Liability Insurance is compulsory for all certified teachers when teaching in the UK and at ITM summer schools and public workshops

  • Please ensure your insurance cover is in place before renewing your membership

  • Alternatively, you may choose the Active UK Teacher + Insurance Cover option to join the ITMTA block policy

​Please note: a 10% late payment administration fee has been applied to the fee amount as of 27 March 2026.

2026-27 ITMTA ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP: £72.60

  • Suitable for Student Teachers worldwide and in the UK currently completing an ITM training course (different membership rates apply)

  • Suitable if you plan to arrange your own Professional Liability Insurance

  • Professional Liability Insurance is compulsory for UK Certified Teachers practising in the UK

  • While insurance is optional for Student Teachers, it is strongly recommended by the ITMTA

  • UK Students may choose the Student Teacher + Insurance Cover option to join the ITMTA block policy below

  • For teachers who are currently inactive but wish to remain ITMTA members

  • No insurance required

  • Professional Liability Insurance is compulsory for all certified teachers when teaching in the UK and at ITM summer schools and public workshops

  • Suitable if you do not already hold your own insurance

  • Insurance cover runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027
